This is a stylish and graphic Murano-style glass vase, distinguished by its “zebra” or smoky black-and-white swirling pattern. The vase reflects a modernist or Art Deco revival style. This kind of black-and-white optical pattern (Op Art) was especially popular in the 1980s–1990s.

It is a hand-blown glass vase. The pattern is created during the melting process by twisting together different colored glass masses, making each piece unique.

Although there are small, superficial imperfections along the rim, they are not sharp and do not diminish the decorative appeal of the piece.
