Decco Accessories vintage crystal and brass table lamp | Germany, 1970s
An elegant German vintage table lamp from the second half of the 20th century, circa 1970s. A refined example of Hollywood Regency and neoclassical style, combining clear, faceted optical glass, polished brass details and luxurious geometric forms. The lamp was distributed under the Decco Accessories brand, and its glass element is attributed to the German glass manufacturer Kristallglaswerke Hirschberg.
The centrepiece of the lamp is a substantial, transparent glass column with precisely cut facets that beautifully refract and reflect light. It is complemented by an elegant brass stand with decorative details and a sturdy octagonal glass base. The combination of transparent glass and golden metal gives the lamp a distinctive lightness while retaining a luxurious, striking silhouette.
In the 1960s and 1970s, crystal, glass and brass lighting became particularly popular in Hollywood Regency interiors. The defining features of this style were symmetry, decorative elegance and combinations of refined materials that transformed everyday objects into luxurious interior accents.
